February 3, 2007 – New York – The New York Times published today a correction to its January 31 story that erroneously described AJC as a “conservative advocacy group.” The full correction, which appears on page 2 of the February 3 print edition as well as on the New York Times website, states:

“An article in The Arts on Wednesday about an essay titled ‘Progressive' Jewish Thought and the New Anti-Semitism on the web site of the American Jewish Committee referred incorrectly to the committee. Its stance on issues ranges across the political spectrum; it is not ‘conservative’.“
